Sascha Selke’s ambient music concept “Harmonices Terrae” for Rogner Bad Blumau
In 2005, Rogner Bad Blumau, the biggest inhabitable piece of art by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, called for an artistically adequate music concept. So Sascha Selke developed his “Harmonices Terrae” (“Harmony of the Earth”), paying tribute to the “Harmony of the World” (Harmonices Mundi) by the great philosopher and astronomer Johannes Kepler: By measuring the area, he analysed the “inner harmonies” of the architecture, the landscape and the geomantic centres and translated them into audible sound. So, under his baton, Rogner Bad Blumau musically composed itself.
Since early summer 2006, the music of Harmonices Terrae can be heard in Blumau and contributes to the artistic experience of the location.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Rogner Bad Blumau, Sascha Selke will be on location for a discussion of his music concept with Robert Rogner Junior and Johannes Czeitschner (Sales & Marketing Direktor) on May 12, 2007.
